The organizers of the 2013 World Championships for Icelandic Horses are proud to announce yet another significant alliance: Hrímnir (www.hrimnir.is) is a premium brand of saddles and has joined "WM 2013" as a Main Sponsor, as was confirmed by Carsten Eckert und Rúnar Þór Guðbrandsson at a recent meeting in Iceland.
"We are extremely happy", says WM 2013 managing director Carsten Eckert", to have such a reliable partner in Rúnar who as an ambassador of our World Championships is doing such a fabulous job in Iceland in helping to promote and in getting more attention directed at this event. He truly identifies with our common cause, and I'm convinced that both WM 2013 and Rúnar's Hrímnir brand which is popular among so many riders from professionals to pleasure riders will benefit from this cooperation!"
Hrímnir's Rúnar Þór Guðbrandsson himself is also full of joy: "The World Championships for Icelandic Horses in Berlin are a great chance for all of us. Of course, I'm very keen on presenting my own brand and my saddles to an ever-so-large audience, but it's really the overall concept that we should be focusing on and working towards right now. At the end of the day, if the whole Icelandic horse business is doing well overall, each and every one of us will be fine individually as well.
Breeders, riders, trainers, tourism businesses, entrepreneurs from different areas and us with our high-quality equipment as well as the hosts, the German Icelandic-horse federation IPZV which will hopefully gain plenty of new members - we all stand to gain from these World Championships being a success."
Guðbrandsson goes on: "Germany is the largest and most important marketplace in our industry, but Germany is not just a market for Icelandic horses and all related matters - instead, it is an extremely important market for Iceland itself with all it has to offer e.g. in tourism, culture and in business. These World Championships will present ample opportunity for Icelanders to showcase their strengths and assets to the world. If we all work together on this - especially with such a one-time chance in a metropolis like Berlin - I'm convinced this will be great.
The German organizing committee is a creative, highly motivated, realistic, reliable and enthusiastic team, and I'm very glad that I can be a part of this fantastic event!"
